Distance Learning and Commercial Training Opportunities

Why choose RNN Group as your commercial training provider?

If you’re a business owner, you’ll know that your staff are a key resource to help you grow the company.

But as workplace technologies and processes continue to evolve, are you seeing a skills gap appear within your workforce?

If you’ve identified a need for employee training, RNN Group of Colleges can upskill your workforce with our flexible range of corporate training opportunities.

Whether you’re looking to support staff towards a promotion, refresh their skills after a career break like parental leave, get a new starter up to speed, or just invest in your team’s potential, we’ll work with your L&D strategy to find a suitable training programme.

Over the years, we have built strong relationships with employers across various sectors and industries. Our corporate training courses have been designed around the needs of both business owners and employees to improve engagement and ensure success.

What types of commercial training courses are available?

RNN Group delivers a range of training solutions, from classroom-based sessions at our amazing campuses to group workshops at your business premises, both of which are led by our tutors. At our North Notts Campus, for example, we have the National Fluid Power Centre with world-class facilities for engineering courses in hydraulics, pneumatics and electronics.

We also have a vast selection of online distance learning courses for your staff to do in their own time. Employees don’t need to come into college and will study at their own pace online, usually completing each course within a three-month period.

Our courses cover a range of skills like customer service, equality and diversity, team leading, and manual handling, as well as mandatory health and safety training or first aid in the workplace. We run industry-specific courses in areas like hospitality, education, business admin, STEM and health and social care.

Whichever option you choose, by the end of their course, your staff will have acquired new skills and knowledge they can use in the workplace.

Why is training important?

When you find someone who has niche skills, good customer relationships, and just fits in with your whole business ethos, you want to make sure they stick around and become key players in your company. But job satisfaction isn’t just about money and flexibility; most employees want to feel appreciated and have the opportunity to grow.

Investing in staff by encouraging them to undertake commercial training courses is a huge motivator. It shows you value your staff as individuals and want them to reach their potential, reducing the need for them to seek more fulfilling jobs elsewhere.

Making corporate training part of your staff benefits package will also help you attract the best talent.

In return, you’re sure to see an increase in efficiency, productivity, staff retention, morale, better use of resources, quality of work, and customer satisfaction.

The future of your company lies in the skills of your team, yet a third of workers say they haven’t received any formal training in the last five years. Turning that ‘should-have’ into a ‘must-have’ is a win-win.

Why work with a training provider?

If you’re running a small or medium-sized business, you’ll know that delegating tasks makes life easier. Developing and delivering training courses in-house can be costly – both financially and timely.

Having a trusted training provider takes that pressure and strain off your team so they can focus on growing the business in other ways. At RNN Group, we have years of expertise and experience in delivering effective and flexible corporate training courses recognised by a range of industry and awarding bodies.

In the UK, companies invest around £42bn in employee training each year, which averages around £1,530 per employee. Our courses start from £65 per delegate for short courses, and £450 for distance learning courses.

If your business is based within the South Yorkshire region, you may be able to access funding through the South Yorkshire Combined Mayoral Authority to cover the costs of our distance learning courses.
