Bright Skies Nursery is ‘Outstanding’
Education watchdog Ofsted has awarded Rotherham College’s Bright Skies Nursery a rating of ‘Outstanding’ in all areas.
The nursery, which cares for children aged from birth to five-years-old, is based at Rotherham College’s Dinnington campus, on Doe Quarry Lane, and is open to children of students or staff, and local families in the area.
The Ofsted inspection which took place in February 2016, confirmed the nursery is consistently an ‘Outstanding’ nursery with a glowing report and ‘Outstanding’ marks across the board.
Ofsted inspectors said the “quality of teaching is exceptional” and “children are inspired and motivated by the highly stimulating environment.”
“Children are at the heart of every decision staff make. Staff are particularly perceptive to children’s needs and know exactly how each child prefers to learn.”
The nursery has a five star hygiene rating, award winning childcare, and offers extended opening hours all year round.
Stephen Kearney, parent, said
“The dedication of every member of the staff to the development, education, and care of each and every child at the nursery is second to none and we couldn’t ask for any more for our daughter who loves going to the nursery,”
The nursery team were overjoyed to learn they had received their second ‘Outstanding’ grade in a row, following their previous inspection in 2009.
Kirsty Lockerbie, Nursery Manager, said
“I’m so proud of our team’s effort and achievement and want to thank all the parents for their much appreciated support.”
