RNN Group Welcomes Careers Advisers from Around the Region
The RNN Group โ made up of Rotherham College, North Notts College, Dearne Valley College and University Centre Rotherham (UCR) – welcomed careers advisers from across our catchment areas on Friday 6th October to come and join us for a free in-person event at our UCR campus. This event was to cover a range of topics on updates to our curriculum offer, information on our School Partnership Programme and the introduction of staff across the Group.
The event started with an introduction from our Director of Marketing and Learner Recruitment, Lucy Barnwell, welcoming the attendees and covering the agenda for the day. The event continued with our Vice Principal of Curriculum, Mark Ryan, with a discussion on our curriculum, our offer and the introduction of T-Levels across our campuses.
This was followed by our Head of Learner Recruitment, Nick Dale, providing an update on our courses and offerings throughout the Colleges, our application process, our future events and the School Partnership Programme. The Programme gives school partners who sign up various benefits including invites toย special activities such as bespoke taster days, paid for transport, VIP tours and much more.
Schools staff also enjoyed an update from Simon Hartley, our Skills Consultant Team Leader, about apprenticeships and work-based learning. Finally, our School Liaison Team, Hanna Wright, Bobbi Turner and Emma White, discussed our higher education offers and communicated our open event dates throughout the year.
โOur most recent Schools Careers Networking Event took place on Friday 6th October. The free, in-person, event aimed to provide updates and advice on the recent changes to our Curriculum offer, information on our School Partnerships programme, along with an opportunity to learn more about a range of other topics. It was great to see so many new and familiar faces and we look forward to working with everyone over the course of the next 12 months.โ
