Careers Week at RNN Group

We are currently half way through our eight-week induction programme for new learners throughout the RNN Group.

So far learners have been supported in their first week with tours of campuses and made new friends, signed up to lots of activities and events and clubs, told us how they feel about college life and this week with ‘swap don’t drop’ starting, are discussing any changes they wish to make with regard to their course after a few weeks of lessons.

Next week is Careers Week!

This means that each campus is holding a careers day during the week for students to talk with employers, staff from voluntary organisations, and university and Higher Education institutions from across the region.

There are workshops and guest speakers throughout the week talking to students about skills and the importance of English and Maths.

We have some of our very own employer academies talking to students throughout the week including South Electrical, Esh Construction, Equans and Titans Rugby.

Our own careers teams and Apprenticeship teams will be on hand to speak with students who need help with CV support, careers guidance, an Apprenticeship as well as English and maths support.

Job advice organisations as well as job recruitment companies will also be at these careers’ fairs giving students advice on their next steps.

North Notts College – Tuesday 1st October between 10-2pm

Rotherham College – Wednesday 2nd October between 10-2pm

Dearne Valley College – Thursday 3rd October between 10-2pm

Calling all Employers

Our next Business Breakfast is Wednesday 2nd October at Rotherham College in the Wentworth Cafe, so you can grab breakfast and do some networking before attending the Rotherham College Careers Fair!
