RNN Group is an education and training provider, meeting the needs of thousands of employers, adults and school leavers every year and contributing at the heart of our communities.
The RNN Group includes five campuses of career-focused further and higher education in South Yorkshire and North Nottinghamshire alongside our partner organisation, the National Fluid Power Centre. We educate school leavers, undergraduates, employees and those re-joining the workforce with a focus on ensuring learners leave equipped with the necessary skills to join or re-join the workforce.
Our campuses also house training venues – dining, salons and a gym – that are open for members of the local community to use.
At Rotherham College, we have the Wharncliffe Restaurant, a fine dining restaurant open for lunches and dinners and special events throughout the college year. There is a salon based at Rotherham College too, offering great value hair and beauty treatments to the local public. Both of these venues are staffed by learners, under the watchful eye of our experts.
North Notts College and Dearne Valley College also have salons available for members of the local community to use and enjoy, with Dearne Valley College also having its very own gym with state of the art equipment available for local people to use following signing up for membership.
Not only do we provide campus based education and training to learners in the form of Level 1, 2, 3 courses up to Level 7 and Masters courses across the campuses with our onsite venues, we also provide a range of other courses for learners to take advantage of including adult skills programmes, community courses and distance learning provision.
Adult Skills Programmes
RNN Group offers courses for adults on a part time and evening basis covering a variety of areas at Rotherham College, North Notts College and Dearne Valley College. Courses include areas such as plumbing, counselling, ESOL, engineering, health, childcare, maths, English and computing to name a few.
Community Courses
RNN Group offers community courses both at it’s college locations and via distance or online learning.
We develop and roll our courses with our local partners to ensure we are responsive to the needs of our local communities and courses range from building self-esteem to improving creativity, British sign language to flower arranging, cookery to hand sewing and much more.
Distance Learning Options
Distance learning allows you to do just that – study at a distance, wherever you want, whenever you want – you don’t have to be based local to us or travel to any of our campuses, you simply plug in and progress with your chosen course with support from our Distance Learning Team. Study in the comfort of your own home and flexibly around your existing commitments, at a pace that suits you.
With a variety of subject areas for you to choose from including health and social care, mental health, education and training, nutrition and health and business management, we can help you gain the skills that matter the most to you. Whether you’re looking to update or upskill for an existing job, or take a first step towards a new career, these courses can help you, whatever your needs.
