The cost of a HE Education
The BBC produced an article on the rising cost of Higher Education citing that the UKs highest debt was around ยฃ231,000 following a BBC Freedom of Information request.
It is nearly 15 years since tuition fees were tripled in England. Fees now cost a maximum of ยฃ9,250 per year across all UK nations, though in Scotland, Scottish students are charged a maximum of ยฃ1,820. Debts are written off at the end of loan terms – often 30 years – regardless of how much is owed by that point.
Here at the RNN Group, our HE fees are much lower โ around ยฃ7,000 per annum and ยฃ4,000 for a part time course. Courses range from accountancy to performing arts, animal management to graphic design, IT to Health and Social care, engineering to media and teaching to hair and beautyโฆ there is something for everyone.
We also offer Higher Technical Qualifications (HTQs), which are specialist technical courses developed with employers and delivered by industry experts. Higher Technical Qualifications (HTQs) have been developed in partnership with employers and are delivered by industry experts and focus on the skills, knowledge and behaviours that are in-demand by employers. They can also act as a stepping stone to further study, such as an apprenticeship or undergraduate degree.
Applicants can apply all year round or through UCAS and we consider contextual applications in our admissions journey too. This means that we take into consideration an applicantโs individual circumstances and background when reviewing their application, rather than solely focusing on their academic achievements.
Universities can consider factors such as an applicantโs socio-economic status, family background and the quality of the schools they attended when making admissions decisions. This allows us to widen participation and fair access and welcome applications from students of all backgrounds.
We offer financial support as we know for many ยฃ7,000 is a lot of money. Cost of living support is also found locally for learners who need this help.
One of the Groupโs core values is inclusivity and we aim to support that with the opportunities listed above as much as we can as well as delivering on a wide range of courses.
For more information about our HE courses, come and see us and talk to us at our next open day on Wednesday 1st May.
