Employer Partnerships at RNN Group
This morning we hosted the first of our series of business breakfasts for the RNN Group in 2025.
Our employer partners are very important to the work of the RNN Group for many reasons:
- Collaboration with employers helps the RNN Group to design curricula that reflect real-world industry needs, ensuring students acquire skills that are actually in demand.
- Partnerships can lead to internships, apprenticeships, and job placements, making graduates more employable and improving institutional reputation.
- Employers often provide support, equipment, and technology for training programmes, enhancing the quality of education.
- Colleges can develop specialised training programs or certifications in collaboration with employers to address skill gaps in the workforce.
- Joint research projects and innovation labs allow students and faculty to work on cutting-edge challenges, benefiting both academia and industry.
- Industry partners can provide mentorship programmes, guest lectures, and networking events, giving students valuable insights and connections.
- Colleges can create tailored educational tracks for specific industries, making their offerings more appealing to both students and employers.
Partnering with us
We offer a number of ways for employers to partner with us and find out more about the work of the Group including:
Employer Academies
Our Employer Academies bring together learners, educators and employers to establish long term partnerships that will inspire the next generation into your industry.
Employer Academies are the result of our investment toward consistently improving skills and job opportunities for learners and employers.
Employer Forums
RNN Group hosts a series of valuable Employer Forums and these forums are intended to provide an open and informative discussion with employers about how the next generation of RNN Group apprentices can support your workforce and the local economy.
In the forums we will discuss and listen to your needs as employers and what industry-relevant skills future apprentices need to support your organisation, however big or small.
Employer Newsletters
In 2024, RNN Group launched its first newsletter for employers. These newsletters ensure that employers are updated with all that is happening throughout the Group as it goes out to employers six times a year.

Employer Awards
In 2024, RNN Group launched a brand new awards scheme to reward and highlight our employer partners and their commitment to our organisation and our values.
This is a monthly award to showcase one of our partners and their work against one of our four values.
Additionally, we also have an end of year celebration and employer awards event too!
Webinars
We set up free webinars last year to engage employers and many other stakeholders by offering information about our new products and courses to support with the knowledge about our offering to employers and what they can tap into for both them and their employees.
Skills for Employment
We have been listening hard to employers and their needs recently and one of the overriding concerns from employers was about the lack of transferable skills in new members of their workforce.
We have launched Skills for Employment to combat this vacuum. It aims to support our learners with developing transferable skills or Power Skills as they are known by.
Learners can obtain digital certificates after completing tasks to support them with their learning and gaining Power Skills which they can showcase to employers or place on their social media platforms. This initiative has been developed in conjunction with employers and we have a number who have signed up to help and support this initiative.
Employer partners also help by being involved with National Careers Week, Skills for Employment week, induction weeks and National Apprenticeship Week as well as attending in between these special events to deliver talks and workshops to our learners.ย

The RNN Group is keen to recognise how much we rely on our amazing employer partners and are grateful for all that they provide both for the Group and for our learners.
