Graduation Day at the RNN Group
This week we are delighted to be celebrating the achievements of our Higher Education (HE) students who have studied with us across the group in recent years and have now completed their course. This celebration is their Graduation โ a momentous occasion in their lives – and will be held this year again at the New York Stadium, Rotherham.
It is a proud occasion for us all: students, parents, carers, family members and staff, and we all enjoy watching our learners who have worked so hard in the last few years achieve this amazing accolade here in Rotherham and receive their certificates of graduation at the ceremony.
For us at the RNN Group, we could not be prouder of our learners and their achievements and the staff who have helped them to learn, develop and succeed.
As a Group, we formally started our HE focus in 2018 with the opening of the University Centre Rotherham (UCR) in which many of our learners have enjoyed three years of study. This state of the art higher education centre in the heart of Rotherham was built to support learners from the local area to realise their dream of going to university, whilst not having to travel too far as well as being able to choose a more affordable alternative to study at this level.
Many of our HE learners consistently affirm how much they love learning at the UCR in the smaller, warmer and thus more caring environment that it offers and love that it is on their doorstep.
So for those who donโt want to leave the friendly environment and want to build on their degree, UCR is now offering a Level 7 Masterโs in Arts (MA) Education and Professional Development from January 2024 for any graduate, since one of the key entry criteria is having a recognised Honours Degree (first or second class) in an appropriate subject.
This course is designed for those who are already in practice in an educational setting; this may be as a classroom-based Practitioner, Programme Leader or Manager and this could include voluntary roles.
Finally, we know how much it means to learners and their families for them to have achieved this level of education and we feel honoured to share in this Rite of Passage this week.
Have a wonderful day!
