HN Flex: Your Flexible Route to Higher Education! 

So, you’re looking to boost your credentials, but the thought of diving into a rigid, one-year (minimum) course makes you want to hide under the duvet?

Enter HN Flex – a smart, flexible system that lets you upskill, piece by manageable piece. 

Think of it as a pick-and-mix for your career

Instead of a set menu, HN Flex offers a “pick-and-mix” approach.

You can choose up to 4 units that suit your needs and interests, building your qualifications as you go. It’s like crafting your own bespoke learning experience. Each unit provides you with 15 credits, so if you complete 4 units that’s a whopping 60 credits you can gain. 

If you are a recent college leaver, you would have to have a Level 3 qualification before going on to pick the HN Flex units. However, if you are an adult learner they would look more at your overall experience instead of your qualifications! 

Why this matters (especially for busy people)

• Flexibility is Key: Let’s face it, life gets hectic. HN Flex lets you learn at your own pace, fitting studies around work, family, or whatever else you’ve got going on. No more rigid timetables! These units can be completed in 3-12 months, accommodating diverse schedules and needs. 

• Targeted Skill Ups: Got a specific skill you need to master? HN Flex allows you to focus on those areas, giving you a serious career boost. 

• A Stepping Stone to Bigger Things: Modules completed in HN Flex aren’t just pieces of paper, it’s a launchpad! It opens doors to the potential further study of Level 4 and Level 5 qualifications. 

• Addressing the Skills Gap: This system is designed to equip you with the skills employers are looking for. So, you’re not just learning for the sake of it; you’re gaining valuable, relevant knowledge. 

• Levels 4 and 5: Your Foundation: Because the HN Flex credits could be put towards the Level 4 HNC or Level 5 HND, it means you are building your core skills. They’re designed to give you solid grounding in your chosen field. 

• No Exams: These units are assignment or project-based learning, which means there will still be deadlines to hand in assignments and project work, but no exam stress! 

• Remote Studying: These flexible units are delivered remotely via platforms like Google Classroom, offering personalized tutor support and optional face-to-face sessions, all without the need to travel to campus.

It’s about providing a practical, bite-sized, accessible way to gain steps towards achieving recognised qualifications without turning your life upside down to be on a full-time course.
