Welcome Week at RNN Group

At the moment, RNN Group made up of Rotherham College, North Notts College and Dearne Valley College is enrolling new learners and progressing learners alike ready for the start of term and welcome week next week.

We are so excited to be welcoming all of our learners to the start of term here at the RNN Group with our Induction week or Welcome week as we call it. This week is all about ensuring our learners feel happy and get to know course colleagues and new environment throughout the week with lots of activities put on to help with this welcome. We hope learners start to make new friendships and feel excited about the next step in their educational journey.

Across all three college campuses we have activities such as inductions, tours, guest speakers, curriculum activities and sports competitions, employer academy representatives talks, treasure hunts and forest camp, Titans Rugby and Ninja Warriors inflatable challenges, UCAS drop in sessions, talks on D of E and the National Careers Service, masterclasses, external trips and team building opportunities to name a few!

We end the week with a colour smash at Dearne Valley College and we are organising buses to ensure learners from Rotherham College and North Notts College can join in!

As a Group, it is important to us that everyone feels welcomed into the RNN Group family and feels comfortable knowing where their classroom and key facilities are during this first induction week. Tutors will be setting expectations as well as giving tours of the campuses so learners know where these key facilities are to help with orientation.
