What’s on at RNN over the holidays? 

The academic year might almost be over, but learning never ends at RNN Group. RNN Group and its colleges and campuses will remain open during the upcoming summer holidays for a number of opportunities for members of the local community and prospective learners to take advantage of.

We are running an Adult Top Up Skills Programme throughout the summer with a wide range of short courses and taster sessions taking place throughout July and August.

If you live in Rotherham or North Nottinghamshire and are aged over 19, you don’t have to travel far to have a memorable summer. Rediscover your love of learning, top up your skills, and escape the boredom with a skills-based course taking place right here on your doorstep.

Ranging from three-hour workshops to three-week-long courses, our short summer courses are taught at our three College campuses: Rotherham College, North Notts College and Dearne Valley College.  All our short summer courses are completely free for all adults – regardless of your income or current employment status.

Course includes garment making, social media for business, Basic IT skills, DIY Multi-Skills, get to grips with Microsoft Excel, Basic skin care and makeup application, mental health awareness, esports and DIY taster sessions amongst many others.

Not only that if you are a school leaver and still have not made up your mind what to do in September, then all our campuses are open every Tuesday and Thursday for you to come and speak with a member of staff and have a tour of the campuses on any subject / course programme you are considering. Finally, for those of you who are considering a T Level and want to know more, then we are offering families and prospective learners the chance to pop in and find out more over a cup of coffee every Tuesday @ 11am at our Rotherham and North Notts campuses.  T Levels are a great way of furthering your education whilst doing work experience at the same time. So, there is something for everyone over the summer at the RNN Group whether you are a school leaver or adult learner whether at our three Colleges or dedicated University Centre Rotherham. All have a fantastic range of adult learning options for students aged 19 or above and these include access to higher education courses, degrees, free distance learning courses, and part-time professional courses.
