Ian Sutherland

After spending time working within the legal profession and then moving into teaching, Ian joined the RNN Group in 2019 as a member of the Human Resources Team before moving into his current role within the Information Governance and Assurance Team in September 2022.  The combined background of legal and educational knowledge has meant a natural progression into the role of Information Governance Assurance (Compliance) Officer.

On a day-to-day basis, Ian is responsible for advising on the drafting of, and ensuring appropriate compliance within necessary frameworks of a range of documents including policies, procedures and contracts as well as compiling, collating and monitoring those same documents to ensure that appropriate review timetables are met.

In addition, Ian acts as part of the Feedback and Complaints team together with assisting and advising colleagues throughout the Group on a range of matters to ensure compliance and offering advice, support and guidance on Information Governance and privacy practices and principles.
