Kay Mulcahy

Kay Mulcahy - Governor and Member of the Finance and Resources Committee

Kay joined the Board in October 2024.

Kay is a highly motivated and experienced NHS Director of Estates and Facilities and is the National Estates Operations Director for NHS England leading operational effectiveness of hard and soft FM, productivity, digital transformation, and workforce. 

Kay is a Chartered Manager and has over 30 yearsโ€™ experience of working within NHS Estates and Facilities management and was the Health Estates and Facilities Association National Chair between 2022 and 2024. Whilst her own career is bias to the NHS; Kayโ€™s transferable skills will help support the synergy between education and employment through a commitment to teaching, learning, knowledge and skills development. 

Kay possesses excellent communication skills and has a proven ability to challenge processes.  She is passionate about leadership and driving innovation, whilst seeking new ideas and opportunities for service improvements.

Kay is a proud STEM and T-Level Ambassador within the NHS, linking with local schools to promote Estates and Facilities as a career of choice.  She is passionate about raising the profile of education services to assist the workforce of the future, helping to reduce inequalities and improve the health and wellbeing of our populations.
