Laura Reid

After completing her BSc Psychology degree, Laura joined Rotherham College as a mentor working in the 14 – 19 Development team raising aspirations for the first 8 years, Laura then moved into Student Services where she became team leader and then deputy of department taking on a lead for Safeguarding and management of multi-disciplinary support services. Laura has 19 years experience in Further Education all in Student Services type roles, with responsibility for supporting learner journey. Laura is currently the primary Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) with responsibility for safeguarding and PREVENT compliance and training across the Group. In all of Laura’s roles at College, it has always been to remove barriers to learning and to provide opportunities for learners to thrive.
